high throughput coatings testing
In usual practice, anti-corrosion coating materials or formulations are evaluated in various accelerated aging protocols, such as ASTM B117.
Small numbers of test formulations are aged or weathered together in a test cabinet for hundreds of hours, then ranked for performance in comparison to that of a known standard. The conventional test is slow, unreliable, and has very low throughput.
Polymer Alloys' high throughput method can screen libraries of anti-corrosion formulations using an electrochemical method that is fast, reliable, and amenable to high throughput. |
